Poetry Readings by Lionel Scherer (Olé Olé)

4th November 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Lionel Scherer is a poet and it is as a poet that he worked by intervening in multiple achievements. His commitment resolutely feels through the words he defends, defending him … and who defend us against the toxicity of appearances that have invaded our relationship to the world. He is well placed to know their manufacturing process because he went through the production and sound production, worked for the music press, advertising, radio and television. He is also a singer and actor.

His own work includes writing and directing a documentary film “ UN DRAGON DANS L’OREILLE” (Ateliers Varan-Paris), he is singer-songwriter of his songs, creator of a poetic ritual “ TRANSTEXTUEL ”, auto editor his first book “EL CAMINO REAL et Autres Chants,” author-producer of radio travel documentaries for FRANCE CULTURE. Great lover of musical collaborations, he also associate his talent by partnering with theater companies, street theater, contemporary dance and painters. His author role, he plays it now fully into the world of SLAM : poet-performer, he leads workshops and scenes. The creation of “ SHIR-IN ”, slam-rock-live painting and video show/performance with the company De La Frontière in 2009/2010 marks a significant step towards the opening and transdisciplinary. Since 2011, he lives mostly in Southeast Asia. He performed in Bangkok (Bed Super Club, Toot Yung Art Gallery, WTF-Bangkok Poetry), Phnom Penh (International Slam Poetry Night-Oscar 51, Show Box), Sihanoukville (Solo Slam-Mojo Bar).
He lives part of the year in Kampot, seduced by the quality of its silence and because “we must stay away from the judgment of men.”His body and his voice serving his words that shake the laziness of all kinds, are the vectors of a thought in movement that wants to be free. He loves the human adventure as an antidote to his misanthropy, travel-flashes, the magic of transgression, world-cities and deserts.
He is often found at the border.
